Meet Dr. Troy D. Savant

Dr. Savant was born in Reno and was raised in Ely, Nevada. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Nevada, Reno in 1992. From 1992 to 1996, Dr. Savant attended the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, obtaining his DDS degree. Dr. Savant then completed a one-year residency in General Dentistry at the VA Medical Center in Denver. In 2001, he completed his four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Savant has been and continues to be active in national, state and local professional organizations. He currently has memberships in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Nevada Dental Association and the Northern Nevada Dental Society. Dr. Savant has given presentations on various aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery educating local dental society members. Dr. Savant also co-chaired the 2nd Annual Northern Nevada Dental Health Program’s Golf Tournament that raised monies to help local underprivileged children in Northern Nevada. Recently, he completed a two-year term as the Chief of Dental Services at Washoe Medical Center, implementing guidelines that will be used in future staff privileging.

Dr. Savant has practiced in the Reno area for the past four years, where he lives with his wife Alyson and their three children, Taylor, Kennedy and Gage. Dr. Savant enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle that Nevada has to offer. In his spare time he also sponsors and coaches his daughter’s T-Ball team.
